The Scarritt Renaissance Coffee Club will host its monthly gathering from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Guest speaker Nancy Powell will talk about the Historic Northeast’s parks and boulevards system and the early settlement of the area by Nathan Scarritt. 2013 Ice Bowl
Kansas City Flying Disc Club will host its 26th Annual KC Ice Bowl at Rosedale Disc Golf Course, Rosedale Park, Kansas City, Kan., on Jan. 26-27. KCPS Community Meeting
Kansas City Public Schools will host several community meetings to garner public input regarding the district. The Historic Northeast meeting will be held at Gladstone Elementary, 335 N. Elmwood from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29. Free childcare, a light meal and translation services in Spanish and Somali will be provided.

 

CCO Monthly Film Series
Communities Creating Opportunities (CCO) will begin hosting a monthly film series to highlight critical issues affecting the KC metro. The films will be shown at 7 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month at CCO’s new offices, 2400 Troost on the fourth floor of the KCMO Health Department. Cultures Without Borders Call for Artists
