Holy Cross Catholic School Principal Jean Ferrara is looking for some secret Santa action. Not on a major scale mind you, just a little something to make a Holy Cross School family’s Christmas this year.

A majority of the families who have kids in school at Holy Cross would be considered “working poor.”

“Christmas for some of these families is done on an extremely limited basis,” said Ferrara.

This dynamic li’l pooch is all about givin’ a leg up and thinks you should be too – especially given 100 percent of what you give goes to the end user! If you’re confused about just what to give that wouldn’t go to waste, give some thought to a gift card from any of the local grocery retailers. It’s safe, it’s easy and supports local merchants, all for a great, local cause. It’s not expensive either – ten or fifteen bucks makes a real difference to some of these families, especially during this special time of year.

This newshound will be scampering to the store this week to lend a hand. If you’d like to lend a hand, or give a paw up, Bunny the Newshound suggests you call Principal Jean directly at 231-8874 and she can get you dialed in on the best way to help out this season.
