The Salvation Army in the Kansas City metropolitan area is now accepting applications for Christmas assistance. Eligible families and seniors aged 65 and older are welcome to apply in person at the Salvation Army community center closest to where they live. Families and seniors who qualify for Christmas assistance receive food for holiday meals, toys for children in the family and more. Please call your local Salvation Army for specific information including what to bring with you to prove eligibility. This may include items such as a photo ID, proof of income and a current utility bill.

Oct. 23 & 30; and Nov. 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct. 26; and Nov. 2, 9 & 16 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
