Friends of a Don Bosco Senior Center employee, who recently had a stroke, are hosting a fundraiser that will include Cuban cuisine, live music and crafts. The event for Debora Dalilah Demeter will take place beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Don Bosco Senior Center, 580 Campbell St., Kansas City, Mo.

The authentic Cuban cuisine will be available for $5. Saxophonist Dave Panico and band member Gerald Trimble and friends will begin performing at around 7 p.m. for a $5 suggested donation. Members of a local Sufi dance troupe will also perform. Sale and raffle items include themed baskets, such as chocolate, an assortment of baked goods, handmade purses and other gift items.

For more information, call Debbie at Don Bosco, (816) 691-2936.
