Robert W. Scribner passed away May 20, 2012, at home. A celebration of life service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Super Flea, 6200 St John Ave. Arrangements are by E.S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Kansas City, Mo.

Scribner was born on Sept. 16, 1948, to the union of James Ray and Mamie in Kansas City, Mo. He was the oldest son.

He lived in Kansas City all of his life and received his education in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He worked and lived in the Northeast area and was employed by Flea Market (Super Flea).

He was loved by many. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Scribner was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Scribner; both parents; and daughter Marylin.

He is survived by his six children: Richard Scribner, Mary Castillo (Nacho), Robert Scribner Jr., Gary Scribner (Adreana), Johnny Scribner, all of Kansas City, Mo.; and Steve Scribner of Independence, Mo. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
