Louise Rosetta (Feiring) Spencer went to her heavenly home Feb. 16, 2012, at the age of 95, after a long debilitating illness. A graveside service is scheduled for noon Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence. Arrangements are by McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo.

Louise was a long-time resident of the Northeast area of Kansas City, Mo. However, she spent her last 15 years in Battle Lake, Minn. She was always active in her community, helping found the Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association in 1986 and working with her church, Eastminster Presbyterian Church. While in Minnesota she was closely cared for by her loving daughter and the wonderful people at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Spencer and her oldest son, retired Kansas City, Missouri Police Officer, Thomas Howard Spencer. She is survived by her daughter, Delphine Neuman, of Battle Lake and son, David Spencer of Edmond, Okla. She is also survived by grandchildren Scott, Mike and David Neuman; Trisia, Samantha and Tom Spencer; and Aaron and Matthew Spencer; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all gifts be directed to the Good Samaritan Society of Battle Lake, 105 Glen Haven, Battle Lake, MN 56515.
