Christopher V. Lopez, Jr., KCMO, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at K.C. Veterans Hospital.

He was born Dec. 13, 1938, in Kansas City, Kan., to Christopher and Timotea Lopez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Ruben and Eliseo; and sisters, Petra Busby and Mary Brundridge. He is survived by son Christopher Lopez III (wife Kathy); two grandsons, Noah and Eli; sisters, Ruth Chavez, Rosemary Ford, Lucy Hernandez, Lupe Morse, Angelina Cole and Elena Lopez; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at McGilly Midtown Chapel, 20 West Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Arrangements are by Heartland Cremation & Burial Society.
