The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, April 27, at First Christian Church, 1000 Argentine Blvd., Kansas City, Kan. The family is asking you to bring a Mexican dish and memories of her.

Charles Robert Turman, 50, a former Historic Northeast resident, died April 5, 2013, in Longview, Texas. Arrangements are by East Texas Funeral, Longview, Texas.
Charles Turman, known to most people as “Chuck,” was born Aug. 21, 1962, to Joseph and Viola Turman.
He worked many different jobs throughout his life; he worked for car lots, in lawn care, apartment maintenance, and worked on cars.

Daniel Gomez
Daniel Gomez, 72, passed away on March 3, 2013, at his home with his loving wife at his side. A private service was held. Arrangements are by Sebbeto Funeral Home.
Daniel was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother Ignacio Quintana, known as Wella; father, Carlos R. Gomez; mother, Francisa A. Gomez; brother Rodolfo Q. Gomez; and sisters Irene Torres and Edelmira Ramira Ramirez.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 35 years, Genva Gomez; children Adam Gomez, Danny Gomez, Barbara Gomez, Eddie Gomez; stepson Hal Travis and wife Donna; siblings Mariano Gomez and Elvira Gomez; and many grandchildren.

Nadine Burnett, 91, of St. Anthony’s Parish in Northeast Kansas City, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013.
She is the mother of 10 children: John and Ingrid Burnett, Robert and Margene Burnett, Jim and Kelly Burnett, Liz and Ed Hazlett, Mary and Jim Aycock, Grace Thomas, Greta and Chris O’Brien, Carla and Joe Foley; two of her sons, Mike and Edward Burnett, are deceased. She has 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The Funeral Mass was held March 2 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 318 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements are by Passantino

Lu Chandler Baird, 76, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at New Mark Care Center. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Lu was born on Nov. 1, 1936, All Saints Day, on the family farm in Senath, Mo., to Mae Belle and J.P. Chandler. She was the next to the youngest of seven children

Eva Todd, 95, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Oct. 28, 2012, at Northcare Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at McGilley & Sheil Chapel. A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 2, at the chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Norman S. Russell, 98, passed away Oct. 7, 2012. Visitation was held Oct. 12 at Floral Hills Funeral Home followed by a funeral service and burial.
Norman was born Dec. 9, 1913. He was a member of the Masons and retired from Bendix.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Florence; brother, Lawrence; sister, Idella Giblin; and great-grandson Mario Anthony Naccarato.
