Operation 100 near Bellefontaine Ave and Smart Ave

Police were called to a home in the 400 block of Bellefontaine this morning at approximately 4:40 am on a call of Domestic Violence Assault. When officers arrived a subject ran inside and barricaded himself in the home with family and was possibly armed. An operation 100 was called and negotiators were called to the area and began speaking with that subject. Tactical officers were called to the scene and negotiations began with the subjects inside the house. At approximately 7:40 this morning one subject was taken in to custody and officers secured the scene. We’ll have additional updates as they become available.
