Power Prepares You for College
Find out about a new education program for adults,
with financial aid, child care and more
Always
dreamed of going to college? Want to improve your skills, your
knowledge, your career? Consider the Kansas City, Missouri School
District's Parent Power Institute (PPI) classes. The second
round of courses for adults seeking to continue their education
from the GED or high school diploma level is starting soon.
Our goal in offering PPI is to raise the bar on student achievement
by improving parent’s educational and economic status,
which can be achieved by successfully completing a college degree
program.
This new program is for parents who have children in the Kansas
City, Missouri School District and currently have a high school
diploma or GED equivalent. Parents should also have the desire
to further their education by completing a college degree program.
If you can attend academically enriched classes six to 12 hours
a week, PPI can provide financial aid applications, child-care
and transportation and can transition you to the Parents to
College Program. If you’ve dreamed of earning your college
degree, this may be your chance to fulfill your dream.
