Guy E. Hensley
Guy Edward Hensley’s spirit was set free on Aug. 29, 2010, in Columbia, Mo. Guy was born in Caulfield, Mo., on Sept. 30, 1945.
Guy moved to Kansas City, Mo., in his youth. He met the love of his life, Carolyn Louise Rawson, while attending Westport High School, class of 1963. They married in 1965 and had two children. Guy was a proud member of the United Auto Workers. He resided in Northeast Kansas City for more than 30 years. After retiring from General Motors, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hensley; his parents, Pauline and Herschel Upton, and Guy Hensley; and his brother, Paul Stephen Upton. He is survived by his son, Michael Stephen Hensley, his wife Janet Chandler-Hensley; his grandsons, Blake, Grant and Cole Hensley; his daughter, Michelle Stephanie Hensley-DiSanto, her husband Joseph DiSanto; his sister, Shirley Upton-Young, her husband Forest “Pappy” Young; his brother, Hershel Dewayne Upton, his wife, Pamela Upton; his brother David Merle Upton; his brothers-in-law, Leroy “Doc” Waters and Ronnie Rawson and his wife, Marsha Rawson; sister-in-law Norma Jenkins, her husband Ronald Jenkins; his cousin and best friend, Donnetta Upton-Lawrence; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Passantino Brothers Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Visitation and funeral services to be held in West Plains, Mo., on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, and Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Internment will be at Fowler Cemetery, Caulfield, immediately following the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the United Auto Workers’ Political Action Committee. Guy loved three things passionately, his family, his union and politics. Please send donations to: UAW CAP Committee, 500 Kindleberger Road, KCKS 66115.

Frank Tosti
Frank Tosti, 68, Northeast Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at his home. The Mass of Christian Burial was at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial followed in Mt. Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
Frank was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Kansas City. He was a veteran of the National Guard and was a member of Campo-Manfre-Barbieri Post 151 of the American Legion. He was an avid sports fan and loved politics.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Julie (Mazzuca) Tosti. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Clarine and Dan Dykstra; nephews and nieces, Bobby and Leslie Dykstra, Matt Dykstra and fiancee Lauren, Julie Dykstra; and great-nephew, Luke Dykstra. He is also survived by a very special person in his life, his fiancee Christina Cavallaro; her children, Antonia Cavallaro, Felicia Pisciotta and husband John, and Sammy Cavallaro; grandchildren, Sophia Marie, Sammy Joe, and Frankie John; and many cousins and friends. The family would like to thank George A. “Moe” Lago for his special friendship with Frank throughout the years.

Terry R. Rice Jr.
Terry R. Rice Jr., 40, lifelong resident of Northeast Kansas City, Mo., passed away Aug. 21, 2010. Memorial services were Saturday, Aug. 28, at The Salvation Army Church. Arrangements by Marts Memorial Services (816 ) 561-8181.
